Why was I charged $30.

When you rent a charger, a security deposit is held by your bank. This is not charged by us. Once you return the power bank to any Zap Chargers station, the deposit is released minus the rental fee. Processing times vary by bank and may take a few days.

I tired to return a charger, but it won't dock properly.

Occasionally, a slot’s ejection motor needs a reset. If this happens:​

  • Take a photo of the barcode on the back.

  • Email us with the photo, and venue details.
    We’ll provide instructions and refund fees that shouldn’t apply.

Can I keep the charger permanently

Yes. Each charger can be recharged with a standard USB-C cable for personal use. If you choose to keep it, a $75 purchase fee applies. Once purchased, please don’t return it to a venue.

I rented a charger but no device came out.

Look for a charger without its light strip on. If it hasn’t been pushed out far enough, gently remove it. If that doesn’t work, push it back in — if the lights turn on, restart the rental process.

There are no empty slots to return my charger.

Sometimes stations are full. Use our location feature on the website to find another location nearby.

Why was I charged $75 for a rental

If a charger isn’t returned within 72 hours, a $75 charge applies. If you think this is a mistake, email us with details — our support team will help resolve it.

A cable on my charger is broken, what should I do?

Return the unit immediately. If it’s returned within 3 minutes, no charge applies and you can rent another one. If it’s longer, email us so we can process a refund.

My charger isn't charging?

Try removing the charging cable and reinserting it the other way around — this usually fixes the issue.

I accidentally kept a charger from a festival. What should I do?

​Please Email us with:

  • A photo of the barcode on the back.

  • The festival name.

We’ll guide you to return it and issue any applicable refund.

I forgot to return my charger?

No Stress, use our location feature on our website to find the closest venue for you. If you are in a remote area email us for a postal address to send it back to.
